My Aunt Kristi texted me the other day inviting me spend this afternoon in the pool with her & her boys. Um, hello?!?!? It has consistently been well over 100 degrees for the past few weeks. I think yes.
As I drove over to the house with visions of swimming in the cool water & Collin giggling & laughing as he splashed & played with his cousins, I suddenly remembered that I forgot my camera. Me! Forgot. My. Camera.
After my miniature panic attack, I picked up my phone to call Aunt Kristi & tell her we would be behind when I remembered all of the new iPhone4 camera apps I had just downloaded days before. I had been dying for a chance to try them out & what better way than without my trusty d80? I would have no back up, just my handy iPhone.
Now, you just try to tell me that this isn't the coolest picture ever! I love the frame & the small discolorations the app gives the photo. Thank you, Apple. Thank you.
I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked because my child was apparently a fish in his other life & neglected to tell me this information. I couldn't get the kid out of the water. He loved life & I couldn't have been more pleased that I wouldn't have to worry about him having a meltdown in the water & dashing any hopes of lounging in the water all afternoon.
Collin is the most laid back baby on the planet. He allows me to dress him up for every holiday complete with some type of head wear & waits for me to take my pictures. I think he secretly likes it. I wasn't surprised at all when I put his sunglasses & floppy hat on his head that he was content to leave them there. No tugging, no pulling. Just pure Joe Cool.
I couldn't be happier with the way these pictures turned out & with my new fangled apps. It's an awesome feeling to know that even if *gasp* I do forget my camera, that my iPhone is a fantastic alternative!
