Hello, Lover

My Aunt Kristi recently bought me a new lens for my camera. Not just any lens though, one that I have been lusting over for over a year! I don't want to go into too much detail for those of you who aren't camera fanatics, but it's a low light lens that is ideal for the type of photography I enjoy creating. For those of you who are photo fanatics, here is a link. Drool. Go ahead. I'll look away.

Naturally, the second it arrived, I ripped open the box like an over excited child on Christmas morning. I slapped my new lover on my camera & started shooting everything in sight as my husband stood there with the directions/specs in his hand asking if I wanted to read them first. Pssshhhh, who needs directions!? (Side note: I will be reading those later, but I'm more of a hands on, explore things myself type of gal.)

I know you are all dying to see my experiments from this morning, right? I know I'm excited to share!

I know I still have a lot to learn & I'm content to stay home & practice all day with Collin, but I did promise him a day at the pool. At some point, I'll need to put the camera down & pick my son up. But with a face as cute as his, it's totally worth it.
